i think it was from nanay (my lola) when she saw it on TV, that pandan leaves can be an effective cockroach repellent. ooopppsss... going back to my previous posts.. i love cockroaches,, i love screaming and running away from them whenever they're around. so when i heard about it, i immediateltly asked nanay to go buy a bunch of pandan leaves and try it. so she went ahead and buy some, just for experiment. we put it to places where roaches usually stay, in our house, they usually hide under the sink and in the cr. and guess what, it's really effective..it doesnt really kill the insect but there's something i it that drives cockroaches away. i tried to search it in wikipedia and i didnt find any proven studies that it is an insect repellent but what we did simply justified it. i also found an article (http://www.dailyexpress.com.my/news.cfm?NewsID=52160) about a group of students in Malaysia who invented pandan candles as an insect repellent and won the Young Inventor Award. now that we're really using it, i only see few like 1 or 2 cockroaches in each areas in our house where we tried it into..and im so happy..hahaha..i also put some in my room. i just dont know what's in that plant, given the fact that it is even being used as food flavoring to add tasty aroma. well, im not really interested with that anymore.. what more important is i found my hero..hihihi.. so of course im recommending it to other people, especially those who have some kind of phobia like me.

Hi, I really did not do any solution made of pandan leaves.. we just simply put the leaves on places where cockroaches stay.. you can check this link, http://www.dailyexpress.com.my/news.cfm?NewsID=52160 - this is an article about group of students how I think made it as their thesis.. hope this helps... :-) thanks for reading my blog.. :-)
